Video streaming Hardware and software

HI all. A client of mine just asked me to provide a quote for a series of videotaped and also live web-streaming to their corporate office. I have a meeting with them on Tuesday and want to look like I know what the hell I'm doing here.. and in true producing form... I'm going to take the meeting because the job is worth my time to figure it out. I'm looking for any info on the hardware and software I would need. Websites, reviews, and overal IMHO's... would be greatly appreciated. Here's a bit of info about what's required.

I'll have a video and audio mixer there doing a live 3 camera shoot.. mixed down to either a composite, S-video and or a digital signal via firewire. I'll also be recording to a deck to back up the mixed lived master as well as recording to tape in each camera. There's flexibility here in what cameras I use and what output I select. THe board meetings will probably go 4-6 hours with a break every 2 hours or when needed.

From here on out I'm looking for decent solutions to get the final mixed footage uploaded to their server in windows media format. They want a multiple speeds-probably like a 56k version and a DSL version. I believe it's also requested that I can burn a CD or DVD of the entire web-stream, but that's something I could do afterwards in post.

Now, the ultimate solution that I'm looking for is one that satisfies their request for real windows.. as they are not a Mac friendly company.... but I am. I would like to convince them to go quicktime, but I'm not sure it would happen.. I could and would buy a g4 or the new macbook if I needed too.. as well as some type of hardware solution I want to get either some software and or hardware that is either stand alone or works with a Mac, preferably-- and a solution that would stream exactly what they want. . I would have access to the board meeting local companies IP connection as well as contact with their corporate office IT department. The IT department used to do this, but they looking to outsource and since I shoot their commercials and industrials they came to me.

In selecting the type of equipment and software I need, I do have a budget to work with and I think that live webcasting will become a serious industry so if it means that I don't make any cash.. but walk with the gear-- sounds fabulous to me. I also want something that can do quicktime.. real and be updatable and provide for new codecs like the 264 and all that. I know this is a long request, but I came to the experts.. or atleast the place where I spend an inordinate amount of time because my HVX hasn't come in yet.

Any and all info is greatly appreciated. I'll also post back on my findings and progress.. thanks YA"LL. It's a hot day down here today in Florida....
