Video shot on Canon Xh-a1 with Sgpro DOF adapter

Yes the DOF is how I wanted/love it, the more unsharpness in the background the better ;)

We had no budget so we used natural light but at the end I'm quit satisfied with the result.
The Sgpro always takes a bit more light, but this also depends on what lense you use with the Sgpro. The more sensitive your lense the less light you lose obviously. I'm mostly using a cheap "canon 35mm f/2" lense, so I mostly loose about one stop of light. If you are having a higher budget it's better to buy some expensive (& thus more light sensitive) lenses. You can also just use some more light when shooting in lower light environment ;) .

About the colors, I also noticed this also is influenced by the monitor you are viewing it on. On my old PC monitor it looks actually better & less harsh colorred then on my new Mac Pro's LED cinema display. Still need to find a way to manage this issue with future films...

Here's a example of a preset I made and have used pretty consistently on the last few projects I have done using the XH-A1 and Sgpro adapter:

vimeo.com/7255576

was also used on this one:

vimeo.com/6681928

but BLK was set to STRETCH. The H.264 codec tends to wash out the video a bit, but the raw preset should have more contrast than this.

here are the settings if anyone is interested:

PRIMEEIGHT
GAM 2
KNE L
BLK M
PED -9
SET -9
SHP 4
HDF M
CMX 2
CGN -4
RGN 8
GGN 11
BGN 12
everything else is set to 0.
