Video Portfolio

Our intern is putting together his portfolio of the media work he has done with us on a dvd.
Would you recommend he makes a collage of all the work he has done with us, maybe set to music? Or should he have sample of a few mins of each? Or should he play them all in entirety, but you select them through the dvd menu?
The longest video is 3 minutes.
 
WHen I do reels for actors and directors I edit a montage that's under 2 minutes set to music, but I also have longer scenes on the DVD.

I know that it's different for actors because the first thing a casting director looks at is their "look"
 
Oh sorry, I should have mentioned he's not an actor. He's done camera work and post production work in FCP for us.

I was thinking a short montage too.
 
Oh, I got that. I was just trying to differentiate what I have done with what you were asking. I still feel it might be an effective route. I just haven't done reels (or hired anyone through one) for that type of work :-)
