Video not looking good when uploaded to internet

I just compressed a 4 minute video with Compressor. It looks really good and clean. However after I uploaded it to one of the FREE Hosting sites I am using it doesn't look as good anymore. Whats up with that? Do I need to use another Hosting site? I am using www.youtube.com right now.

NO clues??????? I am just trying to figure this out and see if there is something different I can do to make the final upload product look better than it does.

Your image should look the same on your computer and from the host server. It's all digital transfers unless they are doing a recompression of your footage or changing it into a different format. (i.e. m4 - > sorenson, QT to Windows, etc) Check their site for details. You could try saving their download and comparing it to the file you uploaded.

Someone on the Creativecow.net site thinks they are recompressing my work which is making it look like that like you stated as well. I need to look into this.

I've heard of that before. From my understanding, Google recompresses anything submitted to them so I'm sure the other free hosting sites do too.

I just uploaded the same video to Stickypod.com which is a free site and it looks a whole lot better and cleaner. I just can't figure out how to link the video to other sites like this one so I can show folks.
