I have one question about this cam that I haven't seen (or heard) addressed as of yet - what is the battery/power situation? Does it have its own battery or does it only take power from an external source (ie. AB or Vmount with dtap, xlr, etc)?

It has it's own built in rechargable. 90 mins.

So you pretty much have to get external power, build it up a bit.
