video monitor via firewire

Hello,

I have an imac using firewire to a sony deck and via component to a monitor.
My footage is from HVX200 at 720/24PN.
I can see only static frames in the video monitor, playback works fine in mac monitor but not in video, only when playback stops the video updates to the current frame.
Using the NTSC firewire out.

Any idea ?

Go to View->External Video->All Frames. Make sure "All Frames" is checked. Then go to View->Refresh A/V Devices. try that.

If that doesn't work make sure your video playback settings are correct.
 
Yes, it is already set to show all frames, I can play standard video resolution, but not HD 720PN

What version of FCP are you using? Until I updated to 6, i could only get still frames out of my HD footage. Does your SD playback?
 
6.02, I created a new sequence in 720P (960x720) and 29.97 and my clips are now playing in my video monitor. I think a 24P sequence can't be played using firewire.
I can edit, but I guess my clips are a little faster right ? My clips are 720/24PN
