I have an idea for a video where I want to have an image that turns into a photograph someone is holding and crumples up and throws it away. If the crumpling up is too hard I can settle for just throwing it to the side. Here is the example i am trying to create, im not sure if this effect has a name but ive seen it before so I know there has to be some tutorials to find it: https://www.facebook.com/ads/creativehub/gallery/151754461995637/

That's pretty straightforward. The person holds a piece of paper of a color that is not in surrounding area near the paper and crumples it up. If you have After Effects, a garbage mask may be needed if the color of the paper is elsewhere in the shot. A second layer is added with the video that is going to be on the picture. This second layer is color keyed onto the paper. It is also motion tracked, scaled, and warped to the 4 corners of the paper. If the person holding the paper covers up one or more corners, they can be estimated by extrapolating from the edges of the paper.

As the paper gets crumpled, the picture can be warped to match the crumple.

i remember polaroid or a camera company did this a couple years ago and it was really cool (minus the crumpling effect). Does anyone remember or can they find this commercial? thanks guys!
