Hi. I work doing audio post. I am getting a couple of projects where I get a DVD and I have to do the post in ProTools. I am in need of a program (Mac) that will let me capture DVD's and convert them to a QT file that I can use in ProTools. I also need the program to downsize other QT's that I get that are too big for ProTools. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
 
Handbrake is free and works well and will rip the DVDs to a variety of MPEG such as H.264. You can specify the size of output and the compression, so the file size can be quite small.
