Video for commercial use

Hey all!!
I recently put together a video montage of my summer at a particular beach I was a bar manager at. I work in film/video production professionally as well, but this particular vid was shot for fun and slapped together at the last minute so that the folks I hung out with could have something to remember the fantastic summer they had once they left after the season ended.
The vid was fairly popular within our circle of friends, but I just recently found out that the beach's development board wants to use it - with a simple re edit - and put it on their website to promote the town, park, and the businesses within.

Now I've been told to come up with a 'number' for their use of the video on their website, and it could tentatively get me more vid gigs on govt $$...but I have no idea what to charge here...

Any idea at what I should start at??

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanx!

How long did it take you to edit? Charge your normal rate for editing, and then add a full day rate or two for shooting. That way you get some cash, and they get a decent deal.

Ya, I guess it would be worth my while to do it like that...It was shot over 3 months, and took 3 days to edit, but it really wasn't work...

Do you have all the necessary releases for talent, location, etc? Are there trademarks (beer logos, etc.) in the shots? Copyrighted music playing in the background?
