video footage turns green

I exported a 5 sec MP4 out of Premiere and imported into AE. The first 2 secs are fine but after that the footage is pure green. The MP4 is fine. It only messed up after I imported it into AE.

iMac quad core, CS4... have done this a few times but for some reason this particular footage is messed up... the footage in Premiere is 2 stills layered on top of each other, nothing fancy.

Exported this twice already and same thing... please help

Thanks

try exporting as a jpeg or png sequence (out of premiere), see if the problem still occurs.

I exported another high quality MP4 from a jpg from Premiere and imported it into AE, it's fine. Perhaps that is something odd about the one that I have to work on though I don't know what it is.... let me re-import that MP4 and re-export it from Premiere and see what happens.

I think it might have somthing to do with the RAM. I'm at home now my home iMac is faster than my client's... the same MP4 is still showing green but not as complete as when I was at the client's studio... on my home iMac it seems like it is struggling to give me the real footage.

The MP4's are several MB's for maybe around 6 seconds... I have imported far bigger files into AE with no problem.

Yeah it must be a graphics card or RAM issue... i have replaced the test MP4 with the real MP4 onto the AE timeline... while I click around the timeline the composition struggles to show my footage, sometimes my test MP4, now no longer on the timeline, gets played back for like a quick second before my real MP4 gets played back. Like a freaking ghost here.... but it's hard to imagine my quad core iMac has issues with stills, even though they are of pretty high quality.

**** is f&ked! My MP4 that I re-imported back into Premiere is messed up too... looks like the MP4 is not meant to be imported for whatever reason.... let me try FCP...

FCP saved the day. I re-imported that MP4 into FCP and exported at lossless MOV and imported that into AE and it's fine... holy f$%k.

Thanks
