I just did my color adjustments, levels, contrast etc... I play it back and I can see the effects go back and forth randomly on different clips.....on many it stays constant like it should.

Is this a bug? Did I miss something? So frustrating.

Usually work in FCP but here at home I figured I try premiere cs4.

please help.

might just have to install avid express.....

Your post is a little difficult to understand but make sure you've applied those atributes to all your clips you want effected.

Also, make sure you have any key frames hiding from you. They can be sneaky, hiding just at the end of a clip under the tip of the frame.

Hope this helps

yes all the clips I adjusted brightness/contrast, auto levels, auto color, auto contrast.

there are no keyframes and it flashes back and forth randomly throughout my project.....

I just exported the .edl and might just finish this in FCP.....

But I love to learn how to fix this issue.

auto levels, auto color, auto contrast.
The auto filters is the problem. Increase Temporal Smoothing to fix it. Inreasing Temporal Smoothing will give you longer render times.

Using manual filters will give you the best results though. :)

wow.....so by auto they actually mean, dynamically adjusting the say the levels (in auto levels) during the course of the shot? wow.

humm......now that I think of it, it's usually the shots when the camera moves alot that I see it changing. the static shots are ok..... so that answer makes alot of sense.

thank you.

ok, I was just trying to save time. I just delete the auto's and do my adjustments manually. It's some some test footage so I wan't trying to be too picky about it.

Thank you.

Correct, thats what happens.

If you adjust Temporal Smoothing the filtes will adjust itself slower and the changes will be less noticable. :)
