Video Displaying as White Screen

I've been editing a project in Vegas Pro 9 without any major problems. Today when I imported my current VEG file into Vegas, all video in the timeline displays as a white screen. All still frames, title credit frames and audio play/display as normal, but the video won't display properly. I've imported numerous VEG files as a test, with the same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you somehow lose connectivity with the drive the video is on? Is it on an external drive? Did you switch it out (which could cause the drive letter to change)?

All of the footage is on an external drive(I), but none of the locations or properties have changed. Also, the title credits and still frames are on the same drive, but they display fine, as well as the audio for the video clips which won't display. I'm completely at a loss for solutions, and it's forty minutes of video in two project files, so starting over from scratch would be a nightmare!

It's QT .mov files which I have been viewing in Vegas with the Calibrated DVCPro HD codec, and all of the video is on the drive and in original folders.

Can you open the DVCPRO HD files in Quicktime Player? Does it display a white screen there?

Did anything change on your system when the problem started happening like an auto update?

If you use the Replace File function in Vegas, and go to the same file, does it still show a white screen?

Best,
Andy

I can play the raw files just fine in the QT and VLC Players.

The only change I had on my system was I ordered 4 GB of RAM, installed it only to discover one of the cards was bad. I'm back to my original 2 GB pair as I wait for the replacements.

I tried the Replace File function to no avail; it still displays as a white screen.

OK, but did you update to Quicktime 7.6.6? According to those who have, Quicktime footage will play fine in the QT player but not in Vegas.

Might want to check your QT version number.

QT 7.6.6 has been causing problems in Vegas like David said. May check that.

Maybe uninstall and reinstall Calibrated?

I do have Quicktime 7.6.6, but have had it since before the beginning of this project and experienced no problems until now.

I'm going to reinstall the codec to see if that helps.

Thanks so much for taking the time to help, guys. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!
