Like the title explains, I am trying to export an edited video.
When importing one of my tapes off of my DVX100a the video and audio were out of sync. I always seem to have problems with importing off my tapes (maybe a dirty head... anyways...). I just left it instead of re-importing. Most of the edit is using only video anyways. But, at the end I have a few clips that are using audio. I manually synced up the audio with the video in my FCP timeline -- NOTE: the audio was further off the further into the tape I went, but I dealt with this too, in the timeline.
So, now I have a completed video with audio/video that I am happy with.
The problem, when I export, FCP must use the timecode of the audio, bc all of the audio is right, but the video that I manaully synced up is wrong. All of the video from that tape are off.
I need to know if there is a way I can tell final cut just to export it exactly how it looks on the timeline without worrying about timecode.
I have exported both "using Quicktime Conversion" (H.264) and using "Quicktime Movie" (custom DV anamorphic setting) -- both have the same exact problem. I am currently exporting using Compressor (h.264) but when I tried it last night, it failed about 2 hrs in. So, we'll see if it works this time -- so far so good.
I am running FCP 7.0 on a white macbook with Compressor 3.5
