video card- Best bang for buck for editing?

Have been researching cards for last couple weeks and wanted to get some opinions on best buys in that space?

Getting a Dimension 4700 with 2Gigs Ram and will need a PCI-Express video card for it. Don't plan on using it for games, just video editing and some 3d effects creation in After Effects and Bryce. Don't think I will need analog capture capabilities as plan to edit everything from DVX input, and also don't plan on watching TV on it (therefore don't need tuner card)

Given those requirements, would something like the ATI x800xl offer me any tangible benefits over something like ATI x700 Pro. Have also looked at Geforce 6600GT & 6800GT, but heard horror stories about the 6600 over-heating in the Dimension systems, so not sure want to chance that, although am open to them if others think they provide good editing platforms.

Also, what would be the benefits of getting say the 'All-in-Wonder' X600Pro or X800 Pro? I know they say they provide extra capabilities for video editors, but if I don't need analog capture or tuner capabilities or PVR, is there any other perks to them?

Price wise, am looking to stay below $250-300 range if possible. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

I love my x800 xl. Got it for 240 when it just came out, though. May be cheaper (or more expensive) and easier to get now but I had to wait two months....

No real video editing benefits, though. I bought it for 3ds max and games.

You got a really good deal on the x800xl. Best price I've found in the last couple weeks has been $269 online. I may eventually use it for Maya or 3ds max, so good to know it works well there.

I also forgot to mention that the editing system I'm using is Premiere Pro.
