Video Capture from Canon T3i to Sony Vegas

i'm new to the DSLR world so plz forgive me. i have some video in the Canon T3i. how do i capture it to Sony Vegas Pro 9 ? someone point me to a link. i hope DSLR video is not too painful.

Like most (all?) DSLRs, it uses an SD card so all you need is a card reader and a USB port on your computer to transfer the files.
Make sure you're running Pro 9.0e for the newest bug fixes.

You can do it that way if you want to but I prefer to stick the SD card into a card reader and then transfer what I want.
Camera setup menus can sometimes be a pain so that's why I prefer to use a reader.
