Vibration (motor of a boat) reduction for tripod

Hello!

I wonder what is a good material for mechanical vibration reduction to use under tripod. I would like to make video shot from motor boat with telephoto lens. At the 600mm IS just can't cope with the vibrations coming from motor and combined with cameras video compression material is rubbish.
Any luck with some sort of rubber, foam or sponge pads under tripod?

Thank You!
Janis

If you are on a boat and trying to shoot with a 600mm lens, no matter what you do, to absorb the vibrations, your footage will look bad anyway!

Try something with less focal length!

600 mm is no problem - if the weather if fine the IS handles water related motion very well. The problem is small, sharp and strong vibrations that affect each frame (at 125 - 250 shutter speed).
Glide cam would be great, sadly I don't have one.
