Vibration effect

Not sure if I can do this or not but I just imported a company logo of a car stereo shop that I am working on a demo for and I wanted to keyframe the speaker that is apart of their logo to vibrate like a real speaker would. I know I can keyframe it to spin but what do I need to do to get it to vibrate or have that look like its vibrating? Could I possibly add a blur filter over it to get that look? I will probably have to vibrate the whole logo though but it should work since this is a car stereo shop.

Small movements per keyframe, per frame. Try this with motion blur...if you have after effects thats the tool to use.

There is a cool earthquake effect in imovie - you could import the clip.
Not sure if thats exactly what your after but - I have frequently dipped into imovie for these types of effects.

oh ok cool, i haven't played around with imovie yet...didn't even know it had effects in it. Now are there different versions or levels of After Effects? I remember somebody telling me that I could get a version for $99 and that I didnt need to get the real expensive one....any truth to this?
