Vibrating GG question

I'm in the process of building my vibrating GG adapter, i did a few tests today with a broken piece of GG and just taped the motor onto the GG holder... but it seemed that it wasnt vibrating that much, i could still see a lot of the grain in the GG.

also, was wondering what other folks out there have used for their DIY projects for the steel legs that attach the GG holder to the inside of the adapter itself. i was thinking about using spring steel from like an old tape measure or something, but wonder if there is a better solution.

thanks!

I cant see it vibrating at all,it looks like its static ,in my opinion its too dirty for vibration anyway.

ok so ive almost finished the adapter and it seems that my ground glass doesnt vibrate enough, I upped my power from one AA battery to 2 and it vibrates faster but there is no difference when it is on the glass. there is still a TON of grain, please help me out.

you cant fix that, its already destroyed screen, those focusing screens are so prone to dust and anything in air,you should not let it see fresh air at all and keep it between two UV filters to protect from dust, any dust on it is very hard to remove.
Next time if you buy new screen then prepare 2 uv filters and practice with something to place screen between them as fast as possible to keep the screen super clean ,then finally go out ,dont do that in home and quickly place the original screen between uv filters and dont let any dust to get inside and sit on screen.Im not kidding ,youve got to be very very careful with focusing screens.
