VFX in post? (explosions, flying dirt, etc.)

I'm hopefully going to be working on a little bit of documentary style footage for a PC mod. I'm thinking about having people standing in front of a building, while it blows up behind them in the distance.

I'm wondering what type of VFX packs you can get out there that have high quality explosions for layering? I've been to detonationfilms.com and they have decent gunshots but the explosions aren't really what I need.

Are there any programs that do this?
Any packs I can install and use in After Effects?

I'd love to know if anyone knows of quality stuff out there on the web.

Haha, funny. I found these guys a while ago and decided to look them up again, been watching vids for the past two hours. Then BAM, here you come with the link.
It's good stuff.

Couldn't find the shot you mean. Are you referring to one of the explosions? I need something blowing sideways, sort of like Children of Men with the cafe in the beginning, but farther back behind the camera.

Yea, I'm sure the concept could easly be adatapted, I'm sure they have some "side" way explosions, then just follow the same method really.
 
Yeah, even the Lite version of Particle illusion (I got it for free off a magazine cover disk a couple of years back) is amazing
 
Artbeats.com is probably the most professional stockfootage-producer out there, but the video stockfootage is very exspensive. around 699$ for each volume.
