VERY well-done fanfilm.

Re: VERY well-done fanfilm.

hey, some of these fan films are kinda cool. i mean, it doesnt look that far off from the superman tv show from the 90's.

i would so love to do a superman fan film.

Re: VERY well-done fanfilm.

yeah, grayson seemed more interesting. but even still. you gotta hand it to these guys for tryin.

Re: VERY well-done fanfilm.

They are both really well done. I liked Grayson more. It just had a good style and pace. But this was still real good.

Re: VERY well-done fanfilm.

Watching this actually (which is extremely well done) makes me realize why Grayson is so amazing.

Think of just about Super hero movie you can. They all play out very similarly. Either origin story or theres a super villian who needs to be stoped before he takes over the world.

Grayson is a great idea because its like super hero intrigue. Batman's dead, ok its already interesting, Robin has a wife and family but when the police wont provide any answers about Batman's death, he decides to get the old costume and find out on his own. Then quickly we realize how deep the situation goes when u have Superman getting in Robins way! WHOA! next thing you know he's trying to stop the joker while bat women, green lantern and wonder woman are all in the game.

Then add the clip of wonder women bawling in the rain over supermans lifless body and dude, you have my attention.

I appraoched their cinematographer at their boards about the idea of using DVXs to finish the film, but the guy said they need the control over slow motion that film provides. If you ask me thats really short sighted since considering how much they've devoted to the project they could finish the thing if they went digital and maybe rented a mini35 kit.

oh well, yeah World finest is still a great fan film, just hard to beat my interest in seeing Grayson

Re: VERY well-done fanfilm.

You guys realize that these trailers ARE the full films, right? They're not *really* trailers . . .

lol David, we're not idiots. But I known that at least for Grayson that it IS a trailer for an idea, but considering that thse 5:20 cost them 18 grand, they of coarse could never afford to make the full feature. The ideas still there and i dig it. ;D plus, regardless, the trailers is an exceptional one! I WANT to see this movie... badly! lol

Re: VERY well-done fanfilm.

I have to say I'm with Cheesesailor

I would definately watch a feature of grayson. The idea has me hooked. Very original.

Anyone seen the new trailer for "Batman Begins?"

Hmm a little different.

So do I! It would rock.

I am a little late on the conversation, but I just saw this for the first time this week. What is even more amazing is when you get the "director's commentary" movie, and how he explains how cheaply he did all of this. (The majority of the money was spent on the film it self. As in the actual media)

wow, I wouldn't say $18,000 for 5 min is cheap. True they did a great job, and even at tha price point the clips inpressive, but you wont see me spending that kinda cash on a trailer, especially with the HVX coming out :)

Lets hope these guys see the variable frame rates of the HVX and consider their options of where they might take this
