Short firewire cables?
Does anyone know where very short firewire cables can be sourced from? I'm looking for a 6"-8" inch 4-6pin IEEE cable for use with an on-board FS-4.....I really hate bundling up the longer cables....anyone have a link handy or source?

The shortest one I found was a 1.5 ' foot at B&H:

It doesn't have the right angle connector though, like the ones that come with the firestore.

it's also interesting that no one seems to sell solder or crimp style connectors for firewire - otherwise you could just roll your own

I recommend the Zip Linq retractable cables. I think they are about 3' when fully extended, but you can plud them in then retract to any length, even a couple inches. Here is one link - they are available all over, though.
