Very odd export problem - has anyone seen this?

I shot in 24p advanced, edited the film on appropriate timeline - when I export the FCP sequence, some of the clips output the wrong section of the film (advances the footage a few seconds).

To test, I went in and took just the subclip I was working with (a fisherman throwing a net into the water ~ 10 seconds) and tried to export just that. Again, the export resulted in an incorrect in point. I tried numerous export methods, including quicktime and compressor - no fix.

Has anyone seen this? Any tips for resolving?

Thanks!

Mm sounds odd.... You could try nesting the problem sequence into a new sequence and exporting that.... Thats solved a few export problems that i've had

I tried that and it still did not work. I'm testing the rebuild of that section of the sequence from scratch. We'll see...

Still a problem - the other issue I've noticed is that when I place the playhead in a clip, sometimes the viewer shows a different clip. When I play it in the timeline, it plays fine. Somehow it seems to have lost its intelligence around connection to the source file, yet plays fine in the timeline. I am hoping I can retain the work.
