Very Nice Telephoto shot

Very interesting, though I'm not sure what kind of story would call for such a shot. It looks way more dramatic than it should.

From the article: "The mile long runway allows the approaching plane to act as the agent of impending doom as a critical secret is revealed in the plot".

Nice. I like it. They are buggers to handle. Here is my first attempt to control a 2/3" box zoom lens; 18-1000mm, f2.8. The front element is 8", it weighs 40lbs. the head weighs 10lbs. It has no zoom or focus ring. It uses outboard cables to manual focus and zoom controls on the tripod handles. Hazy day at the Golden Gate bridge. I've never used it for anything. I just bought it for fun. One day, I will find a shot for it, but what a pain to set up. Ok, ok, I've shown this terrible clip few times. But I get a kick out range of these big zoom lenses. https://youtube.com/watch?v=NKA1JyzM4GY

I'd like to pull a Scorsese Goodfellas shot with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWRncNMEhLw

Another thing to consider is that as you are "zooming" into the image so far your image will become super milky due to presence of atmosphere. Moreover at some point the image will be distorted by raising warm air.
