Very long rendering time

hey fellas i got a question for you. Ive got 8 guitar lessons im rendering at the moment. input is avchd 1080 60i footage. Meant for web streaming so around 200mb for a 20min 720p file. Im exporting both a 480p and 720p version of each lesson in h.264. lessons are very simple switching back and forth between 2 cameras 50/50. One of the video tracks in each lesson required some color correction (rgb curves)

thats just to give u an idea of whats involved with the project.

My question for u is render time. At its current speed, (im about half done rendering) it is going to take 48 hours to finish all 16 exports (remember 2 for each one lesson). this is on an i7 930 @2.8ghz. Is this normal? its an extremely long time. Oh and i am not using the gpu to help as it produces artifacts.

If this is for the web, I would make sure NOT to check "Use Maximum Render Quality." It won't make a noticeable difference in your video and will only slow down the rendering speed by as much as 4 times. Without knowing any other details and the type of card you have, the render time seems a little excessive.
 
every time i export the project with the gpu enabled, it produces MASSIVE aliasing on all the video exports. unwatchable especially since my video need to have detail on stuff like guitar strings.
