Shot this at NAB 2012:

There was a ton of coverage at booths of the big guys, but not much at some of the smaller companies that were showing their smaller but incredibly useful products. So I thought I'd spend some of my time at the show covering the little guy. And to be absolutely crystal clear, I received no compensation of any kind in exchange for this video. The folks in these videos (there have been a couple so far) were kind enough to give me a few minutes of their time. Can't be said for some of the companies at NAB (cough - Manfrotto - cough).

Nice video guys! This is probably the best one I've seen from the show. Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with us at NAB. It was a fun show and hopefully you got to see and try some new toys.

Thanks! By the way, I should have probably mentioned that I used one of my 10 year old Lectrosonics to grab your audio. Your gear just lasts and lasts!

(The wireless performed really well for most of the videos I shot, although I did have encounter some interference in one video. But hey, it was NAB right? So many devices operating in such close proximity, it was bound to happen. After a change of frequencies, I never had that problem again.)

Cheers,
Robert

Great video. I would say, though, that I wouldn't consider Lectro a "smaller company"...at least not in our world, maybe compared to someone like Sony or Canon, yes, but Lectro is dominant in film and tv production sound. As a manufacturer, I normally won't say anything good or bad about another manufacturer on this forum, but in this case, I will say Lectrosonics is VERY good people and very good products. Back when I sold gear, I probably sold hundreds of Lectro wireless systems, and I can count on one hand the number of units that had problems, which in that world, is really really good.

You make a valid point. Although for some reason I still see them as a small company. Maybe it's because of where they're located, or how they really listen to their customers, or... I don't know. They just have a small company feel about them.

That's probably it. They are all great people and have great customer service.
