Can you see them?

Here is a crop;

I was able to workaround it using 32-bit instead of 8-bit; but it eats a lot of memory and it's sloooooow.

Any idea? :violin:

Thanks.

pd. It's a MTS file (AVCHD) created with a Panasonic GH1 rendered with Vegas. Original file does not have these lines.

I could not see them unless i boosted the contrast.
yep, i´ve been seeing those in HDV files from a long time (vegas 7 maybe?). I thought it had to do with 1440x1080 being enlarged to 1080 but i also saw it in some 1920 files i think.

Then, did you found a way to solve this? Or you have learned to live with them in peace and harmony? :D

It's either macroblocking or the color sampling; probably the latter.

What exactly did you do to render this?

i could never fix it. And it made no sense beacuse the original files looked fine. I can´t remember the details but try converting 1 file to qt uncompressed for example and throw it in the timeline to see if it still looks bad.
