Vertical Demons

It's one thing when I get sent an amateur video from a smartphone and the video is vertical. It's annoying and hard to work with, but I understand the ignorance involved. It's more comfortable for people to hold their phone vertical. It's still morally wrong, but people are sinners and can be forgiven.
However it's a whole other level of evil when someone sends you a vertical video shot on a camcorder. I can almost feel the level of demonic possession that must have happened to compel someone to do that.
Unfortunately Adobe does not include holy water and crosses in their toolset to deal with this properly.

I think that any aspect ratio should be fine, it is a creative decision. Also, YouTube is already aspect ratio neutral (except when viewed in theater mode).

Think of it, would we wanted to have Leonardo DaVinci be forced to use the format decreed 'right' by the association of Italian Painter's Aspect Ratio Association (IPARA):

In this case, yeah. The video I received was for that kind of projection.
