Dark Side of the Camera
Now that´s a pretty smart idea. The moving counterwight solves a lot of comon slider problems.

I was checking out the videos of the floatcam and it really looks very versatile. It looks like a very well made piece of equipment.

If you look closely it is 2 igus rails bolted to a stick of 80/20....

Something to think about.

I'd like to find those wheels somewhere though.

Yeah would be great to build one! Actually been checking igus website and found this http://www.igus.com/wpck/default.aspx?Pagename=N09_5_12_WJRM&CL=US-en they now making this hybrid bearings.

However I didn't like how it bounce @3:06–3:10 of the top video, seems a bit shaky to me…

igus Hybrid bearings have been around for over a year now...and I've tested & retested, but, sad to say, they aren't very smooth. The rollers are a hard plastic, have a bunch of play in them, are on the SIDE of the glideblock (designed for hanging doors) and have a 'bump' in them as they roll. You have to mount the glideblock sideways on the rail if you wnat the roller to ride on the top of the rail... then there's a big lump on top and would require a completely redesigned carriage plate.
