Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has more information or experience or any kind of say about the Verbatim MediDisc or Datalife Plus DVD-R's. According to the Verbatim website:
http://verbatim.com/products/produc...pc_parent=1DC9DF5C-C0D4-4AEC-BE4352D34D71B4EB
These discs have the highest archival life (100 years) and offer a scratch resistent top coat. I currently use Ritek or Prodisc media and wonder if there is a difference in quality (materials, shelf life, archival, etc.)
I am looking into buying higher-quality dvd-r media to back up miniDV footage for longterm archival. These discs will be burned and stored away for an indefinite amount of time, in the dark, in a safe, whatever. (Time-capsule style).
There are just some footage on tape that needs to be put onto a more "permanent" or more reliable medium other than magnetic tape.
Thanks for any information on this topic.
