Velocity & jpegs

I have a few hundred jpgs for a time-lapse and want to speed up the event. I found out how to get the green velocity line to move up/down but only one frame at a time. Is there a way to have the green line go up for all of the frames at the same time? THX

A few options:

Shorten all of the JPEGs. You can do this by going into Preferences and shortening the length of stills when brought into the timeline.

Or

Render the entire sequence, bring it back into a timeline, and speed it as a whole (better to use the Playback Rate under media properties, though).

Or

If you're using Vegas 6 or newer, bring your current project into another timeline as a nested project, then shpeed it up as a whole just as you would if you rendered it.

Velocity envelopes are event-based, however.

Here's another option:

Select all JPG images, press "G" to group them, and now CTRL-Resize the last one to proportionally resize/adjust speed of all of them.

If all of them are jpegs, the easiest thing you could do is import them into vegas as a still image sequence which will then act like a single video clip. Go to "File/Import/media. . . then select the first image in the folder and make sure to check the "import still image sequence" box. Your images are now a single video file which maintains all the properties of a video file.
