Velocity Envelope Audio

Hi and thanks in advance-
How can I ensure the audio slows down with the video?
I want the skateboard sounds to morph as video slows to show skateboarding tricks-
thank you all so much

Right-click > properties on the event. Then uncheck somthing, I forget the exact name without looking at it, but it has to do with audio stretching. Anyway, it's something like that.

You mean..jus slow down while its still in sync with the video?

instead of using the Velocity Envelope on the video...click CTRL + Drag the mouse right to slow down the video and audio...or left to speed it up. I never use the envelope tool unless i have to between fast and slow in one clip or speed ups.

CTRL + Left mouse click and drag.

That's good advice, but I think even then Vegas will try to keep pitch. So you're right that is the easiest way to do what he is saying, but I think he may still need to right-click properties and change the audio if he wants to "hear" the slow motion without the pitch correction. Not 100% sure though...

Yeah you would have to go to properties and click the button that doesnt effect pitch..and it jus keeps normal pitch but drags it out.

Wow I feel like an idiot....I've used Vegas for over a year and never knew about that! Oh how I love these forums! Thanks guys!

Its okay, man I have been working with Vegas for about 3-4 months now, I figured that out when I was goofing around... the one thing I like doing is slowing down the clip, when the action is just right, so like a fast punch, slows right down into a slow punch, and then have the clip come back to normal, trust me dude Learn the basics of Vegas that is what I did, you will figure things out on the way of playing around. Play around with things, that is how you unlock new things.

Vegas is like I said user friendly just keep playing around don't aim for perfection, just play around. Your project can become better when you play around. I know this is nothing to do with your Thread, I just like to give you some advice and keep you on a postive mind on things.
