Vegas5 - Automating FX (Presets)

Am I missing something? Can you not switch presets for, let's say, the EQ via automation? I really looked and looked and couldn't find anything regarding this.

From one scene to the next, I would use it to get the correct EQ without having to make a separate track for everything or changing each parame ter of the EQ via automation.

Good question ... it doesn't appear to put in a key frame track like when you're doing automated SFX with the 5.1 surround sound, etc.

The only thing I can see is if you click on the FX button on the audio track, and choose WHICH EQ channels you want to be able to adjust ... it'll insert the envelops onto the track that you can then change at the various points you want, similar to velocity envelope, etc.

Myself, I simply created seperate audio tracks for the short I just completed, when I needed different EQ, etc. Just label them to help from getting confused.
