The chief advantage of the boxed version is the printed manuals. But they're only quick-start guides, not full manuals, and I never look at those.
The chief advantage of downloading is that you get it within minutes, not days.
Even if you don't have broadband (and WHY don't you??), a couple of hours downloading (shouldn't even take that long) is better than waiting days, even up to a week, isn't it?
Up to you, of course. Just some pros and cons to think about.

To be honest the only realy thing I use in the box is the Key Guides, its a nice reference.
Damn Box is getting beat up pretty bad, Sony wanted me to frame that box and hang it on a shelf, so dont show em that pic
