Vegas workflow

Hello,

Could you please give me suggestions on Vegas workflow?
Here's what I'm planning to do:

1, capture
2, tag clips
3, rough trim clips, drop in timeline
4, adjust right and left side of clips in timeline with post ripple

How do you do it? Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
Hilbert

Sounds about right Hilbert. I always have a spare track below my main track so I can easily drop in and pull out clips when editing

Rough cut, an amazing concept. I wish I could just ROUGH cut for clients to see, but since most clients have so little vision, I've found myself in a habit of just perfecting everything as I move forward, throwing in FX as I go as well. On the positive note, usually the client's happy with what they see & little to no changes are needed.

No idea what tagging clips is either.

In Media Manager, there are little 'tags' that you can assign to different media clips. Perhaps that's what he means? I know close to nothing about media management 'standard operating procedure' (is there such a thing?) - so I am just guessing.
