Vegas Won't Export 16:9

hey guys, i'm having a problem...

i made a movie intro in after effects, exported it 16:9 with no problems.

then i imported that into vegas 7 inside a 720x480 widescreen timeline.

then i render it in vegas using the "HD 720-24p wmv" option.



but when i play the rendered clip in wmv it's not true widescreen... it has black bars on both sides (about an inch wide each). does anyone know what the problem is??
 
What are you playing it back on? And did you unclick "maintain aspect ratio" in the clip options, because I always have to do that with AE stuff I import.
