Vegas vs AF100

I was wondering how well does Vegas work with AF100? I have to have raylight for my HVX200 do I need anything for the AF100? I'm on the Vegas Pro 9.0 at the moment. Thanks

I use Vegas Pro 11 and with the new gpu acceleration it works really well. I think you should up grade to Pro 11.

I've been using Vegas Pro 9 for a few years now with both my HMC150 & AF100... drop the native AVCHD files on the timeline and edit no problems!
I'm running Windows 7 and the 64bit version of Vegas.

Note... I was going to upgrade to Vegas 11, but discovered my video card didn't support the render acceleration, so it's pretty useless to me.
(I don't do any 3D and titles are best in AE IMHO)

Well, I cut the AF100 DVD on Vegas 10, so . . . :)

David, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but can you describe your workflow for creating the AF100 DVD using Vegas 10?

And how did you get the best quality going from HD source footage to an SD DVD?

Thanks,

Robert

Just dropped the footage onto the timeline as normal. No trasncoding, just normal editing like any other video. I cut in 1080/24p.

Then, exported using the DVD Architect Widescreen 24p DVD template under MPEG-2. Made sure the quality was set to Best on the Video tab.

In earlier versions of Vegas, I would have exported to 720p before going to SD, but as of Vegas 10, that's no longer necessary.

That's pretty much it. Was very straightforward.
