Alright, so I recently got a job at a local video production house (Design Reactor) and ever since I have been in a heated debate with a few co-workers over which editing software is more efficient. Needless to say, my experiences with FCP have been extremely poor and have since been a huge supporter of Vegas.
Our latest topic: Editing 4k HD Footage.
Obviously FCP2 has tackled this feat, however, I came up with the solution of editing compressed versions of the 4k files then exporting the .EDL to another program which can access the uncompressed versions of the 4k footage for export.
Have any of you ever heard of this method or anything similar? If so, I would be extremely interested to knowing how it worked out.
If not, I would still enjoy hearing some discussions you may of had with Final Cut Pro users and what not.
