Vegas transitional shot - How?

In Vegas (7), anyone know how i'd edit this clip so that the chain appears after I have walked past the camera?
So you dont see the changeover from box on the bed to chain on the bed, the change is hidden by the body walking past and obscuring the shot?

Help greatly appreciated :hv20-smilie77:

You should walk past the bed in both shots. Looks like you only did it in one.

Then, make sure that your movement is consistent and you're obscured enough, and then cut while you're in front of the spot.

Dammit that's a brilliant idea, unfortunately we've wrapped though.
Thanks D.J.

I'm looking for some kind of masking technique, not sure if that's the right word, hmnn...

Agreed, it's pretty easy to cut on the shadow of someone walking past. And I've even faked the shadow moving past too (in my case, to hide a video glitch in the middle of a shot) with a blurry mask animated on a seperate track. Of course, you do need a locked-off camera for both shots to match, if you're wanting a 'realistic' look.
