Vegas Toronto

Sort of...I'm about an hour south of Toronto in the Niagara Region. I had my guy build me a complete editing (sound and video) computer. If you're still interested message back and I'll tell you more.

Vegas will more or less work with typical desktop PCs. Unlike other NLEs, there aren't any particularly difficult hardware incompatibilities that one has to be aware of, unless you're working with the Blackmagic capture cards or something. So you can get a PC from one of the big OEMs (i.e. Dell, Sony, HP, eMachines, Compaq etc. etc.) or get one of the local computer shops to custom-build you something (torontopcstores.com lists a whack).
Of the local computer shops, there's a bunch on college/spadina... canadacomputers.com and filtechcomputer.com are good places to start.

If you want to buy online, ncix.com is good. They also custom-build computers.

I personally assembled my own Vegas system... it runs fine.

2- Are you looking more for a turnkey vendor? Someone who will stand behind their systems and provide support for it? If so, I don't think I answered your question... and I don't know of anyone in Toronto who does Vegas specifically.

Personally, I wouldn't see the need for such a vendor since Vegas is so easy to configure. I used to run Vegas on a celeron 700mhz that wasn't designed specifically for video editing.
