Vegas to AE then back to Vegas

If I'm working in vegas and I export a clip from Vegas as the 24p 3:2 pulldown setting, bring it into AE to do whatever work... two questions:

1. In my comp settings, should it be set at 24 fps or 23.976 fps?
2. What would my settings be for the export from AE, using Microsoft DV? Would I render out as lower field first?
 
export?? does that mean you render out of Vegas as a 23.97 adding pull down ?

IMO if your clips are 24p then keep it 24p ... 24p is 23.97

always use 23.97
.. IMO do FX work without pull down - render out of Vegas as uncompressed avi or QT none template - go into custom -video then change the frame rate to 23.97 .. and change filed order to progressive or none ...

send it back to vegas the same way in AE ..note that with uncompressed you can add alpha channel if needed ..
