Vegas Title Question

For the last hour I have been searching the Vasst site and playing in Vegas trying to come up with titles that are reminiscent of the titles in Se7en. I have tried applying the Vegas Quake Script, cutting in and out or the text, using flash effect, but whatever I do it just looks cheesy. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to achieve this look for some titles. Thanks for any help!

Thanks Hudson. I've been messing with this for a while, and Quake helps, but I'm still not getting. I appreciate it though.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Hudson, you are the man. Great resource, thank you very much. Where did you find that? I ran a google, searched vasst, searched here. That's a great resource, time for me to play as I rewatch Team America

Hi Yankee

One thing that leaps out at me so far is using the film effects over a font track; specifically using the Jitter effect

Also, quick blurs, velocity effects, scratches, quick flashes, using multiple tracks and opacity....

Another key is the imagery behind the titles. That really sells the effect.

I think the Quake script works well too... The velocity and film effects are great ideas though... I am going to continue to play with this and I will post what I come up with.

No deadline... It's for a project that we just started shooting tonight, but I just wanted to mimic that look because it fits the mood. No deadline though. I really appreciate the help.

Wow, nice font site.

OK, here is what I have so far on this little mission thing I'm on. It needs a lot more keyframing with the blur effects but I think it is starting to sort of come together. Right now it is 15 seconds, but I'll ultimately speed it up.

I know it looks nothing like the Se7en titles, I want more that strange feel rather than the exact. Actually exact would be nice, but I'm not even close so I'm leaning more towards that feel
