Vegas running on Xp Service Pack 1

Hi Everyone,
I'm still a little behind times using Vegas 4.0c.
I would like to upgrade to Vegas 6 but the specs mention Service Pack 2 is needed to work with HDV. I'm not planning on using HDV so Can I still run Vegas 6 on Windows Xp Prof. Ser.Pack 1?

I also have an external firewire drive and an external DVD Burner installed on this system it is all working great.

Does anyone know if installing Service pack 2 will cause any problems with external devices, video cards without installing new drivers--yuk
Will Vegas 4 and Vegas 6 together on the same machine with Service Pack 2.

I have had zero problems with Vegas on this computer. I would almost rather get a new system before I would mess up this one.

I didn't have any problems with Vegas 6 on Service pack 1. I've since upgraded to service pack 2 and I still have no problems.
 
That's good news, thanks HorseFilms.
I forgot to ask about DVDArchitect3, If anyone has had problems with it on Service Pack 2.
