vegas pro 8.0b best rendering settings for VIMEO

Hi there David,

I am wanting to start using VIMEO.

I read their FAQ and also their tutorial on how to render for best results on vimeo.

My first attempt yielded an error message when I tried to render with vegas.

So I figured you probably have uploaded your vegas stuff on vimeos a million times and could tell me exactely what settings to use in vegas.

Note: Vimeo recommended using codec H.264 for the video codec (not available in the drop down list in vegas) and also to choose AAC for the audio codec (could not find that option either).

so far I have been using the .mov format, as opposed to MGP2 or avi files... Maybe that's my problem?

Thanks David!!

Just what I needed! But what about 720/24pn projects?

Just what I needed! But what about 720/24pn projects?

I searched, posted and then found this great little thread. I'll have to go pull the other one now. Okay, one question though!

Say I've got a DVCProHD 720/24pn project in Vegas? In your video settings illustration, it assumes 30 frame. So...

Do you still render out based on the instructions or should I drop the framerate to 23.976 and what would make sense for the "Seconds per keyframe" parameter?

I've had trouble with the audio not staying synchronized in Vimeo and YouTube, and I think it has to do with framerate - though the audio is in sync for the first ten to fifteen seconds.

Thanks!

Please read more carefully my tutorial. I clearly say in the actual text to use the source frame rate. So if your source is 24p, you export in 24p. :)
