Vegas Pro 13 announced

As a Vegas 8,9,10,11, and 12 owner I wonder if 13 will allow you to CC before sync'ing in multicam. Sony has fooled me 5 times before. I will not become a Beta tester at the cost of $250.00

My last Vegas was 9. I liked it. I wonder if I'm still good for the upgrade price? Hmmm....

The web page doesn't specify how old upgrade versions can be, but it's worth asking them - the upgrade price is a whole lot cheaper than the full price.

Wouldn't the free demo version let you test that?

Do your colour correcting (and any other FX) BEFORE you add your material to the timeline and you're good to go. This is the way it's always been in Vegas.
BTW, upgrade prices start at $125 U.S.

Sony has kept the Sonic Foundry tradition of being able to upgrade from any version for the same price. This means that if you're still on version 1.0, you get the same price as someone upgrading from Pro 12.

so... what's new that's really good?

If you don't have Sound Forge 11, several users are really liking the Loudness meters for broadcast work.
I'm not going to bother with the upgrade as I don't see anything that will enhance or improve my workflow.

I should try the download. I just want to make sure I have the time. It looks like $449 for the upgrade to the suite. HitFilm 2 Ultimate looks interesting but they feature "effects." I need to supplant the motion graphics, track mattes, rotobrush, and event keying available in AE. That's my concern with the suite.

hscully, if your last version was Vegas Pro 9, then the upgrade price to the suite is $299.95

While I didn't get a copy there are discount promotion emails that were supposed to be sent to registered users. In the past they would also post those links on the Sony forums. I got a friend to forward me a copy, if you follow the links in the email the prices for the upgrade go down a bit. Here are the links for the upgrade with keycode 64947 which seems to give me the discount pricing:

Vegas To Vegas Suite 13

Vegas to Vegas Pro 13

Vegas To Vegas Pro 13 Edit

Without an upgrade promotion code the price on the upgrade to Suite is $449.95. And the code is only good till the end of May.

Just for giggles I cleared all the cookies from my browser, and once again it's showing the "normal" prices for everything, rather than the intro discount.

And following one of the keycode links I posted above gives me back the intro priceing (which is a discount both on new purchases as well as upgrades).

Matt, I wish I had taken a screenshot when I posted my latest link because it's gone back to the $449.95 price :(
Your keycode links are definitely the ones to use.
