Vegas Pro 10 and Red Footage

I have footage that was filmed on RED and I can hear it but not see it. I am wondering if anyone has any experience using Pro 10 and RED to see if truly works as they claim it does before I go out and spend the money upgrading???

Did you match your project properties to the RED footage?

To directly answer your question no. All that pops up is Quick Time format videos. I click on it and it only outputs audio. All else is non-recognizable format. Do you think Vegas 10 will be able read this footage if I upgrade from 8?

I don't see why it wouldn't. I use Vegas Pro 9 and was able to edit RED footage when I was trying to decide what cam to go with

Sounds like you're not getting the original R3D footage and you're using footage which was processed with something else, most likely on a Mac, and it was wrapped as Quicktime. Vegas should handle the original footage.
