Vegas on a Mac?

It appears one must still have an Intel Mac in order to run Parallels. I'm looking for something that will do it with a PowerPC G4 processor.

The meat of it is that I'm so comfortable with Vegas now. It's the easiest to use NLE I've ever had the pleasure of working with and I'm scared to death of trying to learn Final Cut. Seems like a hell of a learning curve, but I'm in a position to pick up this Powerbook for a song, and I have other reasons for wanting a Mac. But it would make the machine a lot more valuable to me if I could edit with it on the road.

I hear ya on the Vegas comfort. I made the switch last year and it has taken a while to flow with FCP - which I really like also. However, I do miss the ease of Vegas audio editing as SoundTrack Pro is not my fav....

Not sure about running Vegas on G4 - but even if the PB is cheap, you may consider the additional cost of FCP as making it less of a steal. Vegas would be a nice portable editing system on a PC laptop....
