Vegas on 64-bit XP?

I'm wanting to take the 64-bit plunge. All my system checks out driver wise and all the software I run (Adobe apps) but when I checked with Sony support, they responded that none of them are supported. I run Vegas 6 bundle, SF 8 and Acid 5.

Anyone running it okay?

it runs fine. Just be sure your hardware drivers really are indeed there for you. We've got one system that's 64bit here, and while it runs Vegas fine, it also doesn't have a scanner, or a professional audio card.

I have an eMu Emulator X which posted 64-bit drivers about 6 months ago and Epson scanner & printer which also have drivers.

I should be okay except for my Line6 Guitar Port, but I can dual boot for that. I'm really needing 4 GB of AE RAM previews...

why go 64bit?

Does the 64bit system render faster / any performance increase in general?
