Hi, this seems like a simple taks in vegas but I can't figure it out. How do you edit say a baseball player swinging a bat in repetetive motion? or like in some music videos when the action is repeated with a flashing/strobe kind of effect? I hope you understand what I'm talking about, any help is highly appreciated,

You mean showing an action multiple times?

Splice the clip where you want the beginning and end. Select the "event" in between those cuts and hit "control + c" to copy the event. Now simply hit "control + v" to paste the event after.

And just incase you're wondering, to splice/cut the clip, hit the "s" key.

Thanks a bunch bballplaya, that was really helpful. I tried it and it worked repeat action that is.... but how do I add that flash/strobe-like kind of effect? Itreid the flash transition but zip. Anymore help is greatly appreciated.

zoom in on the clip and put a hard flash on the beginning of each one you copied. If you don't zoom in you will not have enough detail to view and thus cannot place the flash at the BEGINNING of the clip.

Thanks a lot guys, great tips. I ran into another problem with vegas... I had 35mm adapter footage that I flipped around with pan//crop and saved a special preset for just flipping the footage.
The problem:
-Now when I import standard stock lens footage, it's flipped. The default preset won't do it, but the strange thing is that the "F" in the pan window is at it's normal position but the actual footage is flipped.
So now I have to apply the "flip" preset to correct the image, very annoying especially if I'm working with stock footage which is not flipped.

-I tried to reset vegas but it still didn't change a thing. Anyone know what might be the problem?
Thanks!!

Thanks taormina, I had the rotate image button in raylight selected... so problem fixed. Thanks a billion!!
