Hey everyone. Is it possible to edit 24p in Vegas Movie Studio? What about 24p advanced or 30p?

It would be a shame if I could get more of that "film look" with my DVX because of the limitations of my software. Having just shelled out all this cash for the camera and accessories, I don't know if I want to spend another $500 on the full version of Vegas. What do you guys think?

I know it's not what you want to hear, but if you want to edit in 24p, you need the full version of Vegas. Think of it this way -- you spent all the money you did so you could get the best -- why cheap out on the back end? Why limit your options for just a couple more hundred bucks?

Anyway, you can edit 24p footage in Movie Studio, but you can't edit it IN 24p. You capture from tape as a 60i file (because that's how it's recorded), and edit in a 60i timeilne. Same for 30p.

However, don't use 24pA. It will not give you the best results when you're editing in a 60i timeline.
 
Are you a student or do you have any relatives that are students. If so, you can get you hands on Vegas for half that price.
