Vegas keeps shutting down....

I am using vegas to edit and have installed magic bullet editors 2.0. Everything opens fine, although a little slow, and seems to work fine until I try to apply one of the presets in magic bullet. If it's on a large clip, it takes a while to apply and usually freezes saying vegas has caused an error and needs to shut down. If it's smaller clips it will work for a while but still freeze eventually. Here is what I'm running : HELP!

dell pc
3.0 Ghz
dual processor 800 fsb
2.5 GB RAM
Vegas 6
magic bullet editors 2.0

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
 
I had a problem on my new editing system where the ATI video card would make it keep crashing, i work at a computer company so i tried other ATI cards same thing.
Some reason Vegas would only work with nVidia Cards on my system...

Was vegas working before on this system?
 
Magic Bullet Editors may have an issue with video cards (don't know), but Vegas doesn't. Vegas doesn't use the video card at all. I've never had a problem with any card.
 
I have never had any problems with Vegas until I try to use this plugin. I will try reinstalling both programs once I get some work completed and we'll see if that helps at all. I'm still open to any and all suggestions if anyone else has run into this.
